Mortgage Contracting Services Partners with Louisiana Tech University to Provide Training Opportunity

RUSTON, Louisiana, Apr 10, 2017 -

Mortgage Contracting Services, LLC (MCS), a nationwide provider of services to the mortgage industry, is partnering with Louisiana Tech University College of Business Doctoral Candidates to provide a training opportunity for the company’s Ruston staff. The ongoing training will take place at MCS’ Ruston office and will welcome students and graduates from Tech and Grambling as well as non-student employees.

The first two sessions were held at the Ruston office, yielding standing-room only. The initial classes were focused on email writing, with the first being a high level overview of the process and the latter focusing on in-depth details. The classes are led by Tech Doctoral candidates in Business Administration, where each gives their perspective on the given topic.

“The partnership is a joint effort of MCS and Tech,” said Jeff Thompson, MCS Vice President.” We are always brainstorming ways to further MCS’ reach and grow the staff with the best and brightest candidates. Louisiana Tech President, Dr. Les Guice approached me about furthering MCS’ partnership with Louisiana Tech, always eager to help us in any way possible. A short time later, I took him up on his offer and together, we teamed up with Chris Martin, Dean of the College of Business, and Doug Amyx, Associate Dean to bring the idea to life.”

The training instructors serve as external consultants and have an objective look at the session’s content. MCS plans to make the training an ongoing benefit to their staff by continuing to work with employees to develop their business practices and grow each individual to their highest potential.

“For a young professional like myself, it was definitely helpful to learn the importance of business emails”, said MCS Team Lead Ben Carlisle. “The trainer made a reference about how everything you say in an email should be able to go on a billboard with your picture next to it. This really put things into perspective for me about how important it is to be professional at all times. Going forward, I think that these classes are especially important to enhance my resume and help further my career in a positive manner.”
